Keng Lye - Alive without Breath (2013) - Hyperrealistic sea animals created using acrylics and epoxy resin, layer by layer
YOU’RE TELLING ME NONE OF THESE ARE REAL ANIMALS!?!?!?
And here I was thinking this asshole collected sea animals in cereal bowls.

i THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA EAT THE SQUID WITH CHOPSTICKS. fs
It took me until I was about halfway through til I realised they were painted.

That’s disgusting.
Well done society.
Well done.

208,261 that is horrific.
Depressingly, I think it would be a lot higher if people understood that if it’s from friends it counts, if it’s from family it counts, if it’s so subtle no one else notices it still fucking counts.

You can choose what kind of tree you want to become
Idk I just find this beautiful
just imagine cemeteries looking like this
a forest of living, changing, beautiful trees. I think a tombstone holds much more finality in death than a tree. It’s like you are living on symbolically through something greater than yourself.
this is a serious post about how much I want this. I’ll make sure my family knows.

You know, because of the heavily psychological themes in Silent Hill, the idea that it looks different to each individual…nothing has scared me more in the ENTIRE series than that ONE line from Vincent.
That was the moment I went, “oh, SHIT.”
It calls to mind so many different ideas.
What does Silent Hill look like to him?
What does Silent Hill ACTUALLY look like?
What are we actually fighting?
What if we’re killing PEOPLE?
What if the monsters aren’t real, and we’re going around slaughtering real people? Maybe even other people trapped in Silent Hill just like us? What if they attack us because WE look like the monsters to them?
What if we’re the real monster.
